Sometimes, we find ourselves waiting on God. I seem to have done a whole lot of that over the past year. I’ve learned a valuable lesson about “God’s waiting room.” It is not as bad as it seems! You see, while we’re waiting on God, He is already at work preparing the future for us. He is also at work in our hearts, and that is the most important part. God could have just skipped the waiting period if the outcome was His alone, but He is trying to teach us something by putting us in that place of waiting.

So, what are you doing this July 4th holiday?
Many people are out and about. Cooking steaks, hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill? Going to the lake or the mountains or to Grandma’s house? Many are on the roads this weekend (watch out for those who don’t have self control and drink then get behind the wheel of a car!!). Shooting fireworks or watching someone else do it? Most are having fun in one way or another, many with families and friends. Some are partying and doing as the world says, “raising hell” over the holidays.
