A tribute to a friend, a Brother in the Lord and one fine radio guy

I had the extreme privilege of working with Mike Lindsey at New Life Radio in the Atlanta area a number of years ago.  Mike was the best all around radio man I’ve ever known.  He was a fountain of talent with an imagination that rivals the best of them.  He loved the Lord and He loved working with Joe Emert, Doug Doran, Jim Stewart and me at New Life Radio.

I had the privilege while the two of us were together to co-host the Morning Drive program with Mike that we called “New Morning Praise.”  The two of us had more fun than any two people should ever have while at work.  But, through it all, we were both dead serious about reaching people with the Gospel of Christ, but we loved to make people laugh, too.

One of the highlights of “Ed and Mike in the Morning” came when the two of us concocted a piece about bats from a true local story of a home that was infested with bats.  Mike and I did a spoof of Batman and told the imaginary story of what happens when bats inhabit a place and a snoop puts a laptop computer there to record what it sees and hears.  Listen to it below.

Mike, my friend and brother, this is for you buddy.  I pray that your sweet spirit and wonderful sense of humor would rub off on me more now than ever before.  I miss you, buddy.  See you in the morning at the house!

Your Brother forever, Ed
